Women with complication-free pregnancies can fly up to their third trimester, but should consult their doctors/medical practitioners before traveling, especially on long haul flights. When traveling on Royal Jordanian, pregnant women in their third trimester (within four weeks of their expected delivery dates) must have a certified medical report specifying the expected date of delivery and stating their ability to travel.
Once onboard, and to minimize discomfort:
- Wear the seat belt low around the pelvis.
- Walk around the plane at regular intervals.
Consume plenty of water throughout the flight and avoid eating heavy foods which, through prolonged immobility, can lead to stomach cramps and pain.
